Hair clip KREEK

This handcrafted hair barrette clip is made from damson wood . A unique hair accessory that adds a special touch to any hairstyle.

Kreek is an Estonian word for a damson tree. It produces small plum like fruit that often is made into jam. For me, damson is one of the most beautiful native woods in Estonia with it´s gorgeous deep purple wood patterns. I salvaged this wood from a pile of firewood. 

Finished with natural linseed oil and beeswax, it brings out the beautiful deep red tones of the damson wood.
